For years, people pulled tabs off soda cans because they were told they weren’t recyclable. If that’s still your habit, please refrain from removing them since they can indeed be recycled and they are particularly harmful to animals when ingested (not to mention humans if the tabs are accidentally dropped into the cans!). Those nasty little metal pieces can end up everywhere and are quite dangerous at beaches, parks, and playgrounds where people go barefoot and cut their feet....
