What impact could a slice of a billionaire’s fortune have on animal rights organizations? Steve Wynn is hoping we won’t find out anytime soon — but in the event that the unfortunate happens sooner than later, he’s amended his will to reflect his new vegan lifestyle and commitment to animals. “I don’t want any more concentration camps for animals that are cruelly treated, force fed to fatten themselves up for our consumption,” the 68-year-old told Robin Leach of the Las Vegas Weekly. “I’ve become an animal rights activist. I’m taken care of myself for the rest of my life. So I decided to change my will the last few days in case I croak. I’m not about to, and I’m not planning on that for a long time. But I’ve changed my will to show my concern for animal rights.” Wynn’s net worth is estimated to be somewhere around $1.5 billion; so even a small percentage of that would greatly benefit organizations around the world. So far, he hasn’t gone into great detail as to who will receive the money — though the VegetarianStar mentioned the Humane Society as one recipient. “I just wish I’d come to all of this earlier in my life instead of later,” Wynn said of his new lifestyle. “Who knows how much it would have changed everything?” Read the full article over on Las Vegas Weekly .

Vegas Mogul Changes Will To Benefit Animal Rights Orgs
If Steve Wynn thinks that leaving money to HSUS or other welfare organisations is going to do anything other than line the pockets of some career welfarists then he is seriously deluded. These charities are businesses with no intention of driving away the oppressions that help them generate donations from the public. He would do much better to inform himself about veganism and educating people.
